The officers of the National Police arrived at the scene immediately upon a call.

Recently, on December 25th, while patrolling the area of responsibility of the Gremiach border guard division on the border with Russia, border guards of the Chernihiv border guard detachment together with a representative of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen of Ukraine detained three people who were engaged in illegal hunting.

The men had rifles and sacks, in which they had already packed the meat of two killed wild boars. One of the hunters went hunting with a horse.

The poachers were two residents of the border area and a resident of Chernihiv. One of the violators had to be stopped by the border guards with warning shots, because he, knowing that he was hunting on a forbidden day, tried to escape.

There was made administrative documents to Art. 85 “Violation of rules of using the objects of the animal world” for violation of hunting rules militiamen for three Ukrainians.

Besides, the man who didn't fulfil lawful requirements of the border guards, was brought to responsibility according to Art. 185-10.

The amount of damage to the state amounted to 80,000 hryvnias.
